STEM THE ART
High schoolers bringing a one-of-a-kind learning experience to students of all backgrounds by combining the arts and STEM.

OUR MISSION
STEM THE ART strives to provide a unique, hands-on learning experience for young scholars, breaking the stigma that an artist cannot be a scientist and vice versa. Our curriculum integrates elements of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with the arts: enriching young minds and teaching how to utilize both one’s logical and creative side. We aim to give fair educational opportunities to students of all backgrounds.
our initiatives
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, STEM THE ART offered in-person lessons to various locations including OCEAA and Discovery Cube OC. However, with the current situation, STEM THE ART has expanded to curating and donating distance learning packages. These packages include the full instructions and materials to our signature activities and experiments, which allows scholars to continue engaging in hands-on education even when out of the classroom. In addition to distance learning packages, STEM THE ART is committed to further spreading its mission through virtual learning opportunities such as tutorial videos.

Impacting students in the united states, taiwan, mexico, and more.
our global impact
In addition to regional initiatives in Southern California where STEM THE ART is based, we have also recently established a team in Taiwan. Our Taiwan representatives, also consisting of motivated high schoolers, assemble distance learning packages and visit schools across the country to teach lessons. STEM THE ART has also previously partnered with the Corazon de Vida Foundation and delivered our distance learning packages to orphanages in Baja and Tijuana, Mexico. We continue to expand our global impact with partnerships with non-profit organizations and mobilizing high school students to provide an integrated education to all young scholars.
WHAT OUR PARTNERS SAY

CORAZON DE VIDA FOUNDATION
The STEM THE ART packages were a welcomed gift for the children, especially during the quarantine when they needed a learning activity to keep them busy.

TUSTIN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
Katherine brought two amazing STEM kits for our families to assemble and explore during the summertime! Their Distance learning packages - DIY Straw Flutes and Grow you Own Plant Kits - provided summer fun while learning for our families. Thank you to Katherine and STEM THE ART volunteers for thinking of Tustin students.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE ORANGE COUNTY
We had a mom and 3 girls try out the flute project! They felt it was very easy to put together and appreciated how the project was fun for the three ages: 5, 8 & 10.
